Cuba Group Tours - Fascinating West Cuba - Itinerary
This 7-day guided group tour will take you around the most beautiful parts of West Cuba; from Havana to Pinar del Río and Viñales. You will have the chance to explore the historical centre of Havana, with its narrow streets and charming squares. Then you will visit the Pinar del Río region and the Viñales Valley, both famed for their majestic scenery. The tour also includes time for you to relax on the Caribbean beach of Cayo Jutías on a small island.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Havana
You arrive at Havana International Airport. Optional transfer to your hotel. You have the evening free to spend as you wish.
Day 2: Pinar del Río & Viñales
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Pinar del Río region. There you will visit a West Cuban city of the same name, which is famous for producing the best tobacco in the world. During your guided tour through the tobacco factory you will witness the cigar-making. Next you will continue to Viñales. First you will see the local places of importance, tobacco plantations and the characteristic landscape with steep “mogote” hills, then you will be taken for lunch at a typical local restaurant and visit the Cueva del Indio cave. In the afternoon the tour will continue to Rancho San Vicente, where you can enjoy the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of the countryside and take a swim in the hotel's pool.

Day 3: Cayo Jutías
For this day we have planned an excursion to the beaches of Cayo Jutías. Cayo Jutías is a small island on the north coast that is connected to the mainland by a manmade causeway. Here you will have the chance to relax on the beautiful Caribbean beach with crystal-clear turquoise water. You will also have lunch on the island. In the afternoon you can enjoy the fantastic scenery of the Cuban coast on your way back to the hotel.

Day 4: Las Terrazas & Soroa
After breakfast in the hotel you will set off to Las Terrazas nature reserve. There you will be taken on a sightseeing tour through the community and enchanting Sierra de Rosario mountains which form the first Cuban biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO. The community development project offers you a glimpse into the typical crafts of the region and the ruins of Cafetales Franceses, a French coffee plantation from the 18th century, the history of the area. You will be served lunch in a typical local restaurant. Later you can relax by the crystal-clear waters of Rio San Juan before being taken by bus to Soroa.

Day 5: Havana
In the morning we will visit an orchid garden at Soroa, the Orquideario de Soroa. Here are more than 25,000 orchid species, including around 100 endemic to Cuba, there are also many species of other ornamental plants and trees. After lunch you will set off to Havana.

Day 6: Havana
After breakfast you will start with sightseeing in Old Havana – the historical centre of the city, where you can see wonderful squares, museums and streets. Next you will visit the Havana Club Rum Museum and take a lovely walk to Plaza Vieja, one of the oldest squares in Latin America. For lunch you are invited to indulge in some delicious local dishes at a characteristic restaurant in the city centre. In the afternoon you will see the modern Havana by vintage car.

Day 7: Departure
You have the morning to enjoy Havana and then in the afternoon, your transfer will take you to the airport in Havana (optional) for your flight back home or you may continue on to your next holiday arrangement.
