- 14 Days

- Guaranteed departure tour
Our dance holidays in Cuba offer plenty of opportunity to swing your hips to the passionate rhythms of Cuban dance, getting caught up in the zest for life fostered on the island. With lessons taking place in the morning, you will be able to learn different salsa moves before becoming further acquainted with Cuba through afternoon excursions. The best place to feel the island's many rhythms is in the capital, Havana, where there are a number of salsa clubs and live music venues. A visit to one or more of these will allow you to mingle with friendly locals and practise the steps you learned that morning. Another great part of these Cuban dance holidays is a visit to the picturesque city of Trinidad, a coastal city on the South West of Cuba whose history, culture and nightlife will provide the perfect end to your trip. Dancing holidays are a wonderful way to appreciate the musical and cultural history of this captivating Caribbean island.
Dream beaches on Playa del Este
There are over 50 kilometers of beaches east of Havana known as the Playas del Este — the beaches of the East. On these dancing holidays in Cuba you will have the chance to relax in the sun and bury your dancing feet in the sand after your morning dance classes. A mere 15 kilometres away from Havana, these beaches provide secluded retreats for city dwellers who like to get away from the big city at the weekends. Here, you can go bathing in the crystal clear waters and enjoy the slow, beach life of Playa del Este.
One of the highlights on our Cuban dance tour is the famous evening show, Cabaret Parisien. Lively dancers offer a sparkling show, full of Caribbean vigour as they take over the stage in elaborate costumes that radiate exotic flair. The colonial charm of the Hotel Nacional, where the show takes place, creates the perfect backdrop for this amazing show. After the performance, the stage is turned into a huge party floor; the perfect opportunity for you to show off all the moves you have learnt in your dance classes!
Trinidad: World Heritage City
While Cuban dancing is the main theme of the tour, the country's rich historical heritage cannot be omitted. On the ninth day of your holiday, you have the chance to explore the city of Trinidad, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. This magnificent city was founded in 1544 by Spanish conquistador Diego Velazquez and is now home to about 75,000 people. Up until the 19th century, Trinidad was an important city in Cuba and amassed considerable riches through the sugar and tobacco trade. This attracted pirates who looted Trinidad which saw the city severely suffer financially from which it never completely recovered. Nevertheless, the city has preserved its colonial charm and fighting spirit, which is evident in its narrow streets, old houses with pastel-coloured paintwork, and historical plazas and parks. Standing in the heart of old Trinidad in the middle of Plaza Mayor you will be transported back in time as you are surrounded by the former mansions (now museums) of wealthy plantation owners from the 18th and 19th centuries.
