An old colonial house with red bricks arches that gives
passage to an ample internal patio plenty of plants and
flowers, in the heart of Old Havana, a good example of
the Moor influences in the Cuban architecture. Inside
its sumptuous interior it’s possible to found exquisite
carpets and tapestry pieces, ivory statues with wood incrustations,
camel mounts, 18th and 19th centuries weaponry bathed
in gold and silver, and even an Arab market retort.
It also has natural wonders like a desert rose, a calcareous
formation resembling a flower, result of the salt concentration
in sandy lands. It’s also the only place in Havana
with a Muslim Pray Room, opened to local and foreign believers.
