Fine Arts
Museum
Founded on 1913, originally had archaeological, ethnographic
and historical collections, but now specializes in the
Fine Arts. Here are art works from the 17th century to
the present, with works by Miguel Melero, Esteban Chartrand,
Armando Menocal, Victor Manuel, Portocarrero, Wifredo
Lam, Servando Cabrerra, Amelia Pelaez, among others. It
also has European originals paintings of Rubens, Murillo,
Zurbaran, Velazquez, Goya and Hans Memling, among others.
It also counts on a beautiful collection of Egyptian,
Greek and Roman ancient art, including funeral pictures
of Al Fayyum, of 2nd to 4th centuries.
