Havana
Museum
Located in the baroque styled Old residence of the colonial
governors of the island, this museum has collections that
gives a city history panorama, from its foundation to
the present. The most important rooms are dedicated to
the Cuban Independence Wars, as the Flags Room, where
it’s exhibited the original Cuban flag, or the one
used by Carlos Manuel de Céspedes in the first
independence war (1868), as well as several flags used
by the Spaniard colonial power. In the art collection
are paintings, porcelains, silver and bronze objects and
great historical value furniture.
