Provincial
Museum of Holguin
Located in an imposing building in front of the Central
square, the museum lodges an important collection of archaeological
objects, since Holguín was one of the main native
settlement. One of its more precious possessions, a stone
axe idol shaped, has been adopted as the province symbol
by its revolt connotations. It also has collections dedicated
to the independence wars, with numerous historical documents,
weapons and properties of the Cuban patriots.
